A common question I receive from my immigration law clients is, “How long will it take to process my immigration case?” The quick answer is, “It varies and depends.” Each month processing times may change. Also, the office processing your application may change.

However, USCIS provides updated Case Processing Times that can provide you with a rough estimate/range. You will need to know the “Form” and “Field Office or Service Center”. If you already have a receipt, refer to the receipt notice to obtain this information. If you do not have a receipt and/or have not yet applied, go to uscis.gov to obtain that information.
